Robin's Conservatory — Music & Performing Arts Secondary Academy · Windhoek, Republic of Namibia · Academic Year 2026/2027 · Doc Ref: RC-TC-2026-V2

1. Institutional Vision & Educational Framework

Robin's Conservatory provides Namibia's premier specialist secondary education programme (Grades 8 and 9), combining recognised academic learning with intensive conservatory training in music, performing arts, visual arts, and languages.

By enrolling a student or paying registration fees, the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) ("the Client") enter into a legally binding contract to support the student's compliance with the Conservatory's standards of academic excellence and artistic mastery.

2. Admissions, Cohort Cap & Major Disciplines

Admission is contingent upon successful audition, academic review, and interview. To maintain elite instructional quality, each major discipline cohort is strictly capped at a maximum of seventeen (17) students.

Each student selects one primary major discipline (Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Classical Guitar, Flute, or Vocal/Choir), alongside complementary artistic and academic departments including Drama (led by Naledi), Ballet (led by Quinton J), Visual Arts (led by Katherin Hunter), and Language Studies (choice of English, German, Portuguese, or Mandarin, led by Aaliyah).

3. Financial Obligations, Registration & Tuition Structure (NAD)

3.1 Registration Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of NAD 5,600 is required upon acceptance to secure the student's placement within the strict 17-student cohort.

3.2 Tuition Fees: Tuition is set at NAD 7,800 per month, payable strictly on or before the 1st calendar day of each month. Tuition covers academic instruction, principal instrument coaching, ensemble training, theory, ear training, and specialist department classes.

3.3 Late Payments: Payments received after the 7th calendar day of the month will incur an administrative late fee of 5% on the overdue balance. The Conservatory reserves the right to suspend 1-on-1 instrumental lessons and conservatory participation if accounts remain in arrears past 30 days.

4. Academic & Artistic Rigor (ABRSM & Performance Standards)

Students are held to top-tier academic and artistic standards, preparing for internationally recognised qualifications such as ABRSM examinations.

Students must commit to mandatory daily practice hours (minimum 2–3 hours), regular public performances, rehearsals, and juries. Failure to maintain satisfactory progress in either academics or practical disciplines will result in academic/artistic probation.

5. Attendance, Class Cancellations & Cancellation Fees

5.1 Mandatory Attendance: Attendance at all academic classes, private lessons, ensemble rehearsals, and scheduled department sessions (Drama, Ballet, Arts, Languages) is strictly compulsory.

5.2 Individual Lesson Cancellations: If a student or parent cancels an individual 1-on-1 conservatory class or private lesson with less than 24 hours' notice, or fails to attend, the lesson will be forfeited without makeup or refund.

5.3 Cancellation Fee Upon Cancellation of Class / Programme: In the event that a student cancels their registration or withdraws from a specific major discipline class or the Conservatory programme outside of formal notice terms, a formal cancellation fee equivalent to one full month's tuition (NAD 7,800) shall be levied immediately to cover committed faculty scheduling and resource allocation.

6. Notice of Withdrawal & Financial Protection Policy

6.1 Strict One-Month Notice Requirement: To protect the financial stability of the centre, retain master faculty, and manage strict 17-student cohort capacities, a strict one (1) calendar month's written notice in advance must be provided to the Director prior to withdrawing a student from the Conservatory.

6.2 Payment in Lieu of Notice: If the Client fails to provide a full month's written notice in advance of withdrawal, the Client remains fully liable for that month's tuition fee (NAD 7,800) in full as a payment in lieu of notice. No exemptions or partial refunds will be granted for sudden or unannounced departures.

Because the Conservatory limits class sizes to 17 students to guarantee elite individual mentorship, instructor payroll and studio scheduling are firmly committed in advance based on active enrolments. Strict enforcement of notice periods and cancellation fees ensures the centre remains financially secure to deliver top-notch education without compromise.

7. Code of Conduct, Equipment & Governing Law

7.1 Students must exhibit exemplary discipline, professional courtesy, and respect toward faculty (including Naledi, Quinton J, Katherin Hunter, and Aaliyah) and peers.

7.2 These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia, with exclusive jurisdiction in Windhoek courts.
